Some stuff about me

My passion is photographing people.  I started as a sports shooter and then became the in-house photographer for a model development agency with strong ties to NYC.  Now I have my own studio and work with all sorts of people for all sorts of reasons.  I've shot pretty much every style and have been published on the web, in print and advertising, and catalogs.  My pageant head shots have won photogenic awards in every major pageant system at every age level.  I am equally comfortable shooting in the studio or outdoors ... many clients choose to do both at the same session.  I enjoy it all.

I don't claim to be a fashion expert, but my pictures typically have a fashion edge.  I think my primary strength as a photographer is helping clients learn how to relax, move, and express themselves in front of the camera.  It is a collaborative process which is both fun and rewarding.  It's one of the things I enjoy most about photography.

I have strong relationships with agencies, pageant directors, make-up artists, stylists, recruiters, and other photographers in the region.    I use professional series Canon bodies and lenses and deliver portfolio quality images to my clients.  I am pretty good at Photoshop, but my goal is to do as little editing as possible.  We want you to look like your amazing self, not someone else.

My studio is located in Richmond VA, not far off of I-64.  It has a 25' cyc-wall, a waiting room, a changing room, wi-fi, and is fully equipped with up to date lights, modifiers, stands, and other light shaping tools.  I also love shooting outdoors in natural light.  Either way, the choice is yours.

For photographers looking to rent a studio in Richmond I offer one of the only large studios in the city.  Contact me for details.
